What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and small-field GPPs are my preferred format. This slate is similar to yesterday’s, where we should see condensed chalk on the Avalanche. We do have better options to get different on this slate. While I will certainly be getting to at least two Avalanche players in cash games, I do like the idea of pivoting to the Wild or Maple Leafs. Also, if the St. Louis Blues goalie is going to be chalky, I like the Panthers as a leverage stack.
boggslite: I’m playing large-field tournaments. I expect Colorado to carry much of the ownership despite playing on consecutive nights, which opens the door to several other options to consider in tournaments. I won’t completely fade the Avs, but I will consider pivoting to Toronto and Florida as quality spend-up alternatives in similarly good matchups.
