NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, April 13

Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?

Moneyball16: Nikita Kucherov
Joda: Connor McDavid

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field tournaments – The story is going to be the same thing until playoffs. We should expect players to be rested in situations where they do not have much to play for. Colorado locked up the #1 seed throughout the playoffs and will sit some players at some point in these last few games. Minnesota only has home ice in some potential Stanley Cup Finals to play for and will be sitting most of their prominent players. Carolina has been sitting players, and that will continue. Florida continues to find new guys to sit. Detroit recently was eliminated from the playoffs, so maybe they shut down some players who have been playing injured. And then there might be surprises from teams I have not thought about. I will be cognizant of all of that, and I will be posting the relevant information in the NHL channel of our Discord.

Joda: Large-field GPPs – Navigating the last week of the regular season is tricky, and it is important to check our Discord during warmups to keep an eye out for any surprise scratches and lineup changes. I believe many teams are prioritizing health over playoff positioning. In general, I think that teams that are eliminated or resting regulars are going to be overlooked, but time and time again, we see teams that “should win” fall flat, so I like mixing in some of the contrarian options alongside some of the best plays on the slate, like Connor McDavid and Nikita Kucherov.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
