What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs — NJD1 should be the most popular stack, and for good reason, but there are some things to consider with them. The first one is that I will likely be underweight when it comes to stacking the projected PP1 defenseman, Dougie Hamilton, with them. The Devils seem to switch between Dougie Hamilton and Luke Hughes in that position all the time, with them each getting roughly 50% of the minutes, and it would not be a shock at all to see Hughes in that spot today. Also, on a slate this small, I always like stacking goalies, but if I am not stacking and am not playing Devils skaters, I do like playing Elvis Merzlikins in net as leverage against New Jersey, and otherwise, Elvis provides good win equity for such a cheap price.
Joda: Large-field GPPs are my preferred format tonight. The slate is void of all the typical superstars, so I will be looking to play more line stacks and correlation today. Goalie is also a mess, with no standout value. I would look to pair my goalie with the line stack, so if the forwards produce fantasy goodness, you can at least get the win. It is hard to see any goalie putting up a slate-breaking score tonight.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
