What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field tournaments – On a relatively small slate, pOWN% and leverage become more important to pay attention to. It won’t be too hard to get different, though, because the ownership will be heavily concentrated on Colorado, Edmonton, and Toronto. Goalie will be a good spot to get leverage with. If you have a lineup where you are fading the Colorado skaters already, maybe you play the opposing Chicago starter and go all-in on the idea of the Avalanche failing, etc. If Colorado fails, then the Chicago goalie will have a good shot to be the top goalie on the slate, and a lot of lineups will be removed from contention due to Colorado being so heavily owned. If you are playing Colorado, maybe you play Buffalo’s starter, hoping for Edmonton to fail, etc.

Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. With the top 4 fantasy superstar centers all in action, there will be some tough decisions to be made. Saving salary at wing and defense looks like the key to unlocking the slate, as the wings just do not have the same floor/ceiling combination of the elite centers. With the goalie options being lackluster at best, I prefer to correlate them with my skaters.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
