What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – This is a slate where there is an obvious play with either of the top two lines for Florida, but in lineups without Florida skaters, I would consider Vancouver’s goaltender. Florida is a shot-volume team, more than a shot-quality team. This year they have a 9.8% shooting percentage compared to 10.9% for the league average, and last season they shot 9.5% compared to the 10.7% league average. The game is also played in Florida, where the home scorekeeper has historically been biased with scoring shots on goal and saves. So if Florida busts tonight, we could be looking at a lot of dead lineups and a huge score for the Canucks starter.

Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight, as the value in Florida is difficult to avoid, and I think single-entry lineups will look eerily similar outside of a couple of pieces. In tournaments, there are a few stacks that I like that could pay off. I think either side of the Columbus and Montreal game is interesting, with my preference being the Kirill Marchenko line. Pair them up with Zach Werenski for a fully correlated, high-upside stack. Carolina has a good opportunity against the cheap chalk goalie of the night as well. Their top 6 is firmly in play.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
