NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, October 28
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Nathan MacKinnon
Joda: Nathan MacKinnon
Hunter4ever89: Nathan MacKinnon
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – On this slate, there are a number of mid-priced lines that are fully correlated on both the power play and even strength, which can put up big scores as a stack that might go under the radar with all the top-end talent on the slate. Playing them could be a good way to differentiate while maintaining high upside.
Joda: My preferred tournament format on this slate is large-field tournaments. Ownership will likely concentrate on Colorado and Edmonton, but there are several slate-breaking lines to consider for an ownership discount. Tampa Bay’s top line has been electric, with Nikita Kucherov recording a point in every game. The same goes for Vegas’ top line, which has feasted in October, but their prices now reflect that performance and likely keep ownership in check. The San Jose Sharks are on this slate, so nailing the right Utah pieces could be the difference in tournaments.

Hunter4ever89: I prefer small-field, high-entry-fee contests on most NHL slates, and that is what I’ll be sticking with tonight. I will look to play some of these heavy favorite chalky stacks (Avalanche, Oilers, Panthers, Utah, Golden Knights) and aim to differentiate my lineups with my secondary stacks and goalies tonight.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
