NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Monday, October 5

Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?

Moneyball16: Nikita Kucherov
Joda: Nikita Kucherov

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Yaroslav Askarov is a below-average starting goalie, and Dallas has historically had a high shooting%. However, given the potential leverage in a very Dallas-heavy field, I think you have to strongly consider playing Askarov in lineups where you are already fading the Stars. If Askarov hits and your skaters do well, you’d have a real shot at a big payday in large-field tournaments.

Joda: It’s just a 4-game slate, so I expect the field to pile into Dallas and Tampa. I’m still using one of those as the primary stack, as San Jose is the softest matchup on the board, and Dallas’s team total is the highest, but I will not pair it with the other chalk offense. Winnipeg played on Sunday, so Clay Stevenson will start in goal, and Pittsburgh’s total is right there with Dallas. Sidney Crosby will not be popular, and there are cheap options like Ben Kindel and Egor Chinakhov who have a role.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
