What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – I think everyone who isn’t on the top power play for Colorado or Vegas will be low owned, and I really won’t be worrying about ownership much. Jet Greaves is a solid option at goalie tonight versus Vegas as a good leverage play against that ownership. I think the Rangers’ top guys are underrated. Their power play is trying a new unit tonight, which boosts Alexis Lafreniere, and with Arber Xhekaj playing for Montreal, they should get opportunities. I think their power play is a lot better than it has shown so far this season.
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. Colorado is the top overall team on the board. I will be building with them as much as the salary cap allows. If looking for a slightly less expensive stack, I will be looking at Detroit. Chicago will be without Connor Bedard, and they are playing their 2nd game in as many nights.
Hunter4ever89: I prefer single-entry and 3-max tournaments once again. Colorado will be a focal point for me in these contests, but they make for an intriguing fade in large-field tournaments. We have several mid-priced stacks like DET, VGK, and LAK that I like in these large-field contests. Goaltenders against CGY and CAR have been something the field keeps going back to, and for good reason. If we see projected ownership on these spots get high, I think it makes sense to pivot and maybe come in under the field in larger contests. We know the range of outcomes at the goalie position can be huge and a bit challenging to predict.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
