What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Single-entry – Tonight is a weird slate. My favorite stack (PHI1) is facing my favorite GPP goalie tonight (whoever is starting for the Blue Jackets). I will be taking a stand on one side of this matchup in a lot of lineups. A lot of Philly skaters are just too cheap, while on the other end, Philly as a team produces a solid number of low% shots, which is good for the opposing goalie, so if the Flyers lay an egg tonight, not only should the Blue Jackets’ goalie put up a strong score. This provides good leverage over the field since Philly skaters should be pretty popular.
TastefulTides: Single-entry and smaller-field GPPs are my preferred format. I am going to fade the Devils and try to get more exposure to the Golden Knights. Also, with no Auston Matthews on the slate, I may try to find a one-off of William Nylander or John Tavares if salary permits. For value, I really like the Flyers despite the fact they should garner some ownership. The Islanders are a cheap team I am considering that I don’t think will carry much ownership.
Hunter4ever89: I will be playing my lineups in the main large-field contests as well as some of the small-field contests with higher entry fees. I plan to be overweight on the Devils, a team I expect to be fairly chalky. In order to get unique lineups, I won’t be afraid to play some cheaper underdog goalies and get different with my secondary stacks.
