What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – With guys possibly resting after the 4 Nations tourney, players potentially coming back from injury, and after almost 2 weeks off, I would expect chaos when it comes to news and lines. Paying attention through our Discord will be a nice advantage.
Hunter4ever89: Single-entry and small-field GPPs – As Moneyball noted, we will be getting a lot of news throughout the day and into the evening with everyone coming off the break. We also have the trade deadline coming up in a couple weeks. We began to see some late scratches and a few moves before the break, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see more soon. I will make sure to check lineups for all my players during pregame line rushes. In the small-field GPPs, I find lineup construction interesting with the DraftKings pricing. I don’t think conventional 3-3 stacks are a necessity tonight. I will have more 3-4 man primary stacks mixed in with 1-off plays or skinny 2-man stacks.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
