Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Nikita Kucherov
TastefulTides: Nikita Kucherov
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – Nikita Kucherov is probably the best play on the slate, but I would not play many stacks with him that include Gage Goncalves or whoever else ends up on Kucherov’s line who aren’t also on the top power-play unit. With 11 forwards, it is often Kucherov and Brayden Point, but then only around half of the time is Goncalves on their wing. Other times, it has been Brandon Hagel or Oliver Bjorkstrand; Jake Guentzel will always be an option there too. On top of that, the Lightning’s top power-play unit plays the vast majority of their power-play time. Put all that together, and I prefer their power-play stacks to their even-strength stacks (or simply Kucherov by himself or just with Point).
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. I do like the top 6 of the Lightning, but I don’t want to get too carried away with them. The Stars and the Kraken are the teams I want to concentrate on the most. I think the Kraken are going to get overlooked on this slate. I love the spot for them at both even strength and on the power play.
