NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Saturday, March 21
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Connor McDavid
TastefulTides: Nikita Kucherov
Hunter4ever89: Nikita Kucherov
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – This is a slate that lacks obvious plays, so I have to imagine that ownership will be spread out. I will mostly be focusing on value and correlation when making lineups and more or less ignoring ownership. It is weirdly only a 5-game main slate despite it being Saturday, so I will be stacking a goalie with my skaters a lot, hoping I get a solid winning goalie score if one of my stacks goes off.
TastefulTides: Single-entry is my preferred option. There is a serious lack of value options on this slate, so it looks like I will have to find more balanced lines to play. The Red Wings are priced reasonably, and I also really like the Blues against the horrible defense of the Canucks.
Hunter4ever89: Single-entry and 3-max are my preferred formats today. Tampa Bay has been white hot and looks to be in a decent spot as they host an Edmonton team missing Leon Draisaitl. While I won’t be fading Tampa Bay by any means, I think there is a case to pivot some ownership over to teams like EDM, DET, and OTT, who offer a little more special teams correlation and present similar upside in tournaments.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
