What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – I think on a slate this large and without obvious plays outside of Nathan MacKinnon, any lineup without COL will be plenty different. When playing Cale Makar in lineups with MacKinnon, I think I will be sticking with value defensemen. The cheap defensemen are never sexy plays, but the ones who play a bunch of minutes, block shots, and add some offense are some of the best plays tonight.

TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. The Avalanche are the top team on the board, and there is enough value to where you can fully stack them. If I elect to fade a chalky Colorado, I really like getting to the Golden Knights’ top two lines or a power-play stack.

Hunter4ever89: I will have 4-5 lineups in all the main tournaments on DraftKings. Colorado will be the chalk. They have the highest implied team total, and their top line crushing as of late. Even though I believe they are the best play on the slate, I plan to be underweight compared to the field. I will instead look to get more exposure to Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, Dallas, and Vegas.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
