NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Saturday, October 24
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Connor McDavid
TastefulTides: Connor McDavid
Hunter4ever89: Connor McDavid
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: There are a couple teams I like with matchups that on the surface look bad but are much better than normal. Buffalo facing Washington is an underrated matchup. Logan Thompson is not starting for the Capitals, and it is a big drop to their backup goalie. Tage Thompson should have very cheap linemates, Buffalo’s 2nd line is fully correlated on the powerplay, and both lines should be low owned. And then Utah is home versus a Tampa team that played last night and should have their backup goalie in net. That is another situation where the drop in quality is quite large.
TastefulTides: The Bruins really stand out as a team that I am going to get plenty of exposure to. It doesn’t just have to be David Pastrnak either; there are value plays that are available across the top 3 lines. Goalie is always a crapshoot, but I think I will exclude all goalies that are $8,000 and over.
Hunter4ever89: There are plenty of viable directions you can go tonight in tournaments. I will get some exposure to BOS, EDM, and MIN while trying to leverage ownership in large-field tournaments. If we see EDM projecting to be popular with stars-and-scrub builds, I will look to build more balanced rosters.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
