NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Thursday, April 2
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
TastefulTides: Connor McDavid
boggslite: Connor McDavid
Joda: Connor McDavid
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry GPPs are my preferred format. It looks like the Oilers and the Wild are the two primary teams to target. If I had to choose one to stack, it would be the Wild. The Canucks somehow won last night, but they were still absolutely terrible defending the cage. I expect the Wild to put up a similar performance.
boggslite: I’m playing single entry tonight. Connor McDavid finds himself with another great matchup at home, but I slightly prefer Minnesota’s top power play – with an even better matchup at home against Vancouver. I will likely spend up at goalie, as I don’t believe the risk is worth the reward from any of the cheaper options in net.
Joda: Large-field GPPs – We have 14 games on the slate, and my favorite place to start is with Connor McDavid and Kirill Kaprizov. Both of them have a cheap, fully correlated winger to help bring down the total cost. They also have two of the top defensemen for stacking in Evan Bouchard and Quinn Hughes. After the Mackenzie Blackwood debacle last night, I will look to save money in net with goalies who should see a good number of shots, providing a reasonable floor and the upside needed.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
