NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Thursday, February 26
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
TastefulTides: Nathan MacKinnon
boggslite: Nathan MacKinnon
Joda: Macklin Celebrini
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. I will be leaning heavily into the Sharks and the Blues on this slate. It should be relatively easy to stack them both. This slate is really easy to get contrarian with your high-end one-offs. Not only is this slate quite big, but outside of Macklin Celebrini, a lot of the high-end spend-ups have really tough matchups.
boggslite: I’m playing single-entry tournaments. A lot of the elite talent is playing on tired legs or draws tough matchups, so I will likely target the top lines of San Jose and Nashville. Both teams are relatively well-rested and draw great matchups on home ice. I’ll likely look for additional upside in net, as we saw a lot of shaky goaltending in great spots last night.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. The San Jose Sharks are my top stack given Macklin Celebrini’s ascent to stardom. Linemate Kiefer Sherwood ($3,500) sticks out like a sore thumb as a salary relief option to pay up for the many superstars on this 12-game slate. Additionally, their young goalie Yaroslav Askarov is a nice option for tournaments alongside them. The Panthers are an interesting team for tournaments as leverage against Joseph Woll.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
