What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and small-field GPPs are my preferred format. Pricing seems a little tough as of late, but I still think there are plenty of really strong teams that are priced in the mid-range. Montreal is the first one that comes to mind. I will be getting at least two Montreal players in my single team. Other teams that will be lower-owned that spark my interest are the Flyers, Blue Jackets, and Hurricanes.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – After a wild Tuesday slate that featured several lopsided games and the chalk busted, I’m expecting some tighter games as teams are getting their legs back following the long break. Pricing remains elevated, which will likely keep me from paying up on defense, instead looking to some value options where most of the savings can be had. There are still several great matchups to target, with the Canadiens, Golden Knights, and Lightning being my favorite teams to target.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format to play on this slate. There are a number of PP1 defensemen in the $4,000 range that intrigue me for tournaments, rather than punting with the shot-blocking specialists below that price range. Mason Lohrei is taking on a huge role without Charlie McAvoy, recording 17.3 and 28.9 DraftKings points over his last 2 games, collecting 4 assists, 10 shots on goal, and 4 blocks. Some other defensemen I like for tournaments are Lane Hutson, particularly in Montreal PP stacks against the Sharks; Jackson LaCombe, another PP1 blueliner logging big minutes for the Ducks; and they could find success against the DFS-friendly Arturs Silovs.
