NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Thursday, February 5
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
TastefulTides: Nikita Kucherov
boggslite: Nikita Kucherov
Joda: Nikita Kucherov
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. I am currently debating on using TB1 as my spend-up stack for single-entry GPPs. If it seems as if they are going to be super chalky, I will pivot to Washington or Buffalo. I am hoping that I can separate from the field by getting different at goalie and value plays.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Tampa’s top line is in a great spot at home against a Panthers team playing on a back-to-back, but I also think Carolina, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Nashville are interesting tonight. I’ll be spreading my exposure around, as one or more of these teams have the ability to break the slate.
Joda: Large-field GPPs are my preferred format tonight. Whereas a stars-and-scrubs approach was preferred for our other slates this week, I am looking for more line stacks. Tampa Bay is the standout in a favorable situational spot. Buffalo has a lot of nice pieces, including Jack Quinn ($3,800), who will rate well for his PP1 role. He has been racking up points. You can pair him up with Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin for a nice PP stack. I like looking to the Capitals for ancillary pieces.
Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
