What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and small-field GPPs are my preferred format. There are a few teams with really great matchups, so I think that ownership won’t condense too heavily on this slate. EDMPP1 is my favorite overall stack, but they are expensive, so I might only be able to get a partial stack in. Calgary is a team I am looking at for value (CGY2 and CGY3).
boggslite: Large-field tournaments. There are plenty of matchups to exploit, which should keep ownership in check on a 10-game slate. Edmonton, Vegas, and Carolina are my favorite targets, and I will likely spread my exposure around those teams. Calgary and Seattle are my favorite cheaper stacks to target.
Joda: Small-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. With 10 games, I like building around some of the strong options from Carolina, Edmonton, and Vegas. Sebastian Aho was not present at the morning skate, so we could see some more value open up in Carolina, who draws a great matchup against Chicago. Edmonton and Vegas are the standouts in the later games. One contrarian team I like in large-field GPPs is Montreal’s top power-play unit against Minnesota’s 3rd-worst penalty kill. Minnesota played last night, so Marc-Andre Fleury will be in net, and the prices on Cole Caufield and Lane Hutson have come crashing down.
