What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max contests are my preferred formats. I’m going to use the classic stars-and-scrubs build for tonight’s slate. There is a lot of really strong, cheap value that will allow you to get to the premium one-offs or stacks. Colorado is the best overall stack, followed by Edmonton and Dallas. If you are looking to get different, I like getting to San Jose and Boston.
boggslite: Single-entry tournaments are my preferred format tonight. I think ownership will be spread out, but I will be overweight on Colorado’s top line regardless. They are dealing with some injuries and will likely lean on their top line even more than they typically do, and they draw a great matchup at home against a weak Buffalo team. I’ll take advantage of the decent value options and will likely save some salary at goalie in order to pay up for a Colorado power-play stack.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. Colorado will likely dominate ownership given the plum draw against a skidding Sabres squad that played last night in Utah, but there are a number of teams that could provide fantasy goodness. One team I like is Vegas, which has no shortage of options. Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner are the main draw, but their second line has some interesting pieces as well. I also like Drake Batherson and Ottawa’s top 6 against a generous Boston defense.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
