What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Single-entry and 3-max GPPs are my preferred format. Ownership will be very spread out both in terms of stacks and one-offs. While I think Nathan MacKinnon is the premium stud to pay up for in cash games, it’s going to be Jason Robertson and the Dallas Stars as the stack I will be trying to get the most of in single-entry GPP contests.
Joda: Large-field GPPs are my preferred format tonight. Nathan MacKinnon is coming off his worst fantasy effort of the season (4.5 fantasy points), so I like him to bounce back, but stacking against Igor Shesterkin isn’t the most lucrative, so I would rather look elsewhere in tournaments. Tampa Bay is my favorite target, and it starts with Nikita Kucherov. Anthony Cirelli and Brandon Hagel check in as nice options, as they should be in those high-event matchups with McDavid and Draisaitl. As usual, one team that could be overlooked is Columbus and their top line, as I think the Toronto side will be more popular. The Leafs are a mediocre team, and they really miss Chris Tanev.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
