Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

TastefulTides: There are some really good offensive spots tonight, so I expect this slate to be high scoring. Since there are so many good spots for goals, I don’t think we have to play into too much projected ownership. That doesn’t mean I don’t like the Wild or the Devils, but there is merit to being underweight on them or fading them altogether. I like playing into the SJS/OTT game for offense, especially if current projected ownership holds.

boggslite: There are plenty of great matchups on this slate, which will lead me to spread my exposure around rather than go all in on one particular stack. My top team is Minnesota, but I also like New Jersey, Utah, and Detroit. Outside of Detroit, I expect ownership to be spread out, so I won’t go out of my way to fade any of the players I like. I will likely try to spend up at goalie whenever I can, as I don’t love the upside from any of the cheap options tonight.

Joda: There’s a lot to like on this slate, and there are so many cheap pieces with real roles on the Senators, Penguins, Red Wings, and Canucks that it opens up almost any top line you want. My favorites are New Jersey and Minnesota, followed by Edmonton with Connor McDavid on an unreal pace. I’m also spending a little more at goalie tonight, as league-wide shot volume is down again this year, which makes it tough for goalies to rack up huge save totals.
