NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Thursday, October 8

Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?

TastefulTides: Nathan MacKinnon
boggslite: Nathan MacKinnon
Joda: Nathan MacKinnon

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents in the tournaments you will be playing? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

TastefulTides: Colorado will certainly be my top team to target because of its matchup against the Flames. I am going to be underweight on Carolina, not because I think they are bad, but because jamming in a bunch of Avalanche and Hurricane players would make my lineup too chalky, especially for the smaller-field contests I usually play.

boggslite: There is plenty of value available, making Nathan MacKinnon and Colorado my top targets despite the team’s back-to-back. If you’re looking to get different, there are some other great matchups. The Hurricanes, Canadiens, and Islanders are my top pivots.

Joda: Colorado is my top stack. Stuart Skinner held them back last night. The back-to-back plus the trip to Calgary isn’t ideal, but the Flames have looked like an AHL team. They’ve been outscored 3-16 in 3 games. Carolina, Montreal, and St. Louis are the other teams I’m targeting, all at home.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
