What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – The bigger the slate, the less ownership matters to me. For a slate this large, without obvious chalk stud plays, I will be focusing less on pOWN% and very much trying to get high-value, high-correlation lineups.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There are several ways to attack tonight’s slate, which should spread out ownership, making for a fun night of DFS hockey. Most of the studs have difficult matchups, which will have me lean more into the matchups than simply jamming in the best overall players. The CBJ/NJD and NSH/SJS games are immediate standouts for me, and I will also take advantage of the very obviously mispriced skaters like Oliver Bjorkstrand if I need some salary relief.
Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format for this slate. Although tonight features 11 games, the slate is set up somewhat strangely, with a lack of obvious spots. The elephant in the room, of course, is $2,500 PP1 Oliver Bjorkstrand, but even then, a road matchup against Carolina is nothing to get too excited about. We have two good $4,000 PP1 defensemen options in Seth Jones and Luke Hughes, who pair nicely with their top-line pieces. I also think with the middlingly expensive forward options, spending a little more than usual on defense and goalie makes sense.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
