NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Tuesday, March 17
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Connor McDavid
Joda: Connor McDavid
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – The Oilers are the top play on the slate and will have a ton of ownership (even with 9 games), but if you are fading them, I wouldn’t be taking ownership into consideration too much outside of them. The Panthers are another strong play with a great matchup vs. the Canucks. I like playing those guys, but if you decide not to, I do think Kevin Lankinen is a strong goalie play. He has solid win odds for a low price. The Panthers are a solid team to get saves against, and if he crushes tonight, he’ll have strong leverage over the field.
Joda: Large-field tournaments – Edmonton should command a lot of attention, but we have a lot of strong, fully correlated lines at our disposal. I am not thrilled about the one-off values, so I would look to build with more correlation than typical. The BOS/MTL game looks like a nice target in tournaments. Both teams take a ton of penalties and have been porous defensively of late. The Habs in particular have the 3rd-worst xGA/60 at 5-on-5 over their last 10 games. I like getting some exposure to this game.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
