NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Wednesday, October 30
Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?
TastefulTides: Nathan MacKinnon
boggslite: Nathan MacKinnon
Joda: Nathan MacKinnon
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
TastefulTides: Large-field and single-entry GPPs – The expensive pieces for the Avs are going to be popular, and that is chalk I am willing to eat on this slate. The Lightning are aging and aren’t the same great overall team they once were. I am going to try to get different with my value skaters and not play the chalk goaltender.
boggslite: Large-field GPPs – A case could be made that the entire slate hinges on the outcome of the TBL/COL game, where both teams get a high concentration of their scoring from their top lines, and both teams have struggled defensively and on the penalty kill. Games in Colorado are averaging over 8 goals per game this season, making this game a scary fade. My initial lean is to get some exposure to the top lines from each team and use secondary stacks from other games to complement them in a game where plenty of goals will likely be exchanged.
Joda: Single-entry tournaments are my preferred tournament format this evening. With Nathan MacKinnon likely to be the most popular play, even at $10,000, lineups are likely to converge on the same value pieces to make it all work. The Avalanche offense was mediocre against Chicago, and Andrei Vasilevskiy has strung together 67 saves on 69 shots over his last 2 games. There are some solid lines to target with mid-range prices, so I will look to find a more balanced build.
