NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, December 19

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Leon Draisaitl – For as hot as the Oilers have been in the last 10 games, Draisaitl has surprisingly not been that big of a part of it, with only 10 points in that time, and he hasn’t had much ownership either. His track record is too strong, and this current Islanders defense is really weak. He should be primed to explode one of these days, with McDavid playing better.

ezellmt: Nikita Kucherov – It could be another instance where Kucherov is in the single digits for ownership, which always makes him intriguing. When he scores, he does so in bunches. Sure, he’ll have more scoreless nights than some, but he makes up for it with the outbursts and can win you GPPs. He has multi-point games in 5 of his last 7. Against a hot-and-cold Blues team, Kucherov has a good chance of extending the multi-point streak.

Joda: Brady Tkachuk – Given the Senators’ struggles and Connor Ingram’s good form, I doubt many will want to roster Ottawa. However, a coaching change could provide a temporary surge for the Senators. Scottsdale-born Brady and his linemates make for a contrarian stack with big upside in tournaments if the Senators pick up the win.
