Slate Overview
Happy Black Friday to everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and that you were able to build your NHL bankroll with some NFL winnings. Due to family time as well as the smaller slate, it’s going to be a slightly abbreviated article, but we won’t skimp too much and make sure you’re getting what you need about of the article. There are two slates and the early slate actually has more games than the main slate. But given that the prize pools for the early slate are minuscule compared to the main, we’ll focus on the main slate for this article. We have a strange slate in that all six games are expected to be closely contested with the Stars coming in as the biggest favorites at just -175.
There has been a surprisingly large amount of news this morning. The majority of it actually impacts the early slate, but the biggest piece of news of the day is that Nathan MacKinnon missed practice this morning. If he’s out, that obviously opens up a huge void that needs to be filled and will lead to some value on a team with one of the higher projected team totals. As always, keep tabs in the NHL Discord channel for all of the last-minute updates. I’ll be hit or miss tonight due to family time, but others will have things covered.
Top Skaters
Brady Tkachuk
DraftKings $7,300
I’ve had this game circled for a while because I think the house of cards that is the New York Islanders is bound to collapse at some point and I think the Senators could be just the team to do it. We have a solid track record of writing up Brady Tkachuk this year as I’m pretty sure he’s had a goal and 5+ SOG in both times he’s been featured here. He’s a SOG machine and the 5+ bonus on DraftKings is in play every time he touches the ice. He’ll be at home, where his numbers are night and day vs. the road. At home, he has 53 SOG in 11 games compared to just 12 SOG in 4 games on the road. Against a Islanders team leaking scoring chances, I fully expect him to find the back of the net.
