Slate Overview
Happy Saturday Grinders! We have plenty of action on this Saturday, with a 3-game NFL slate, a 5-game NBA, and of course my favorite- a 10-game NHL slate! Only the Coyotes and Islanders are on the second half of a back to back. I am writing this article well before morning skates, so if I see anything glaring regarding injuries or line shuffling I will make sure to update this article in the afternoon. Sebastian Aho remains out today, Jack Eichel and Matthew Tkachuk remain the two big questionable names today. We may not hear much about their status but it’s something to pay attention to.
The Lightning, Devils, and Sabres are the only teams on the main slate with an implied team total over 3.5 goals. Then of course there are the Maple Leafs, who have a 3.33 implied total, but are as matchup-proof as one team can be. I expect a lot of ownership to go the Lightning today, followed by the Sabres, and then it should spread out to some of the other teams that are standing out in projections.
