Week 5
As it turns out, I have to heed my own advice from last week’s article and that’s to let the bad weeks fuel the motivation for future slates. After a great start to the season, I came crashing back down to earth. I essentially put up bagels in both DFS and betting. The mistakes were plentiful, but the real dagger was a full fade of T.J. Hockenson. I knew the ownership was going to be high and I was hoping I could get away with it by loading up on Jamaal Williams, Josh Reynolds, and Kalif Raymond. I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t fun watching Hockenson have one of the greatest tight end performances in history. After last week, I considered changing the o in my name to a zero — N0t0. Kidding aside, we dust ourselves off and look forward to Week 5.
Quarterback
This is one of those weeks where I plan to have a very tight player pool at quarterback. In fact, I only plan to roster four different quarterbacks across my lineups. We are missing a few big names on the main slate and I have my doubts on a lot of the cheaper options. For cash games and small-field tournaments, the obvious route is to pay up at the position. There are two quarterbacks in particular that offer floor and ceiling combinations well above the rest of the field.
