What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox! This site is very creative for the NFL, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. Straightforward football builds. No kickers, no defenses, just the position players that get it done for us week in and week out. Did I mention there was a Superflex?! Yes, we have the ability to play two quarterbacks in the format over at OwnersBox. It consists of the following positions: QB, RB x2, WR x2, TE, Flex x2, and the Superflex, which could be a QB/RB/WR/TE. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.
Top NFL DFS Picks for the Conference Championships
Jared Goff ($6,400)
If the Detroit Lions were ever going to make it to a Super Bowl it feels like this could be the year. If they are going to get there, they are going to need spectacular quarterback play from Jared Goff. In reality, I expect the Lions to be trailing in this game, and I will be hoping that Goff will have to push the ball down the field. This is the story that I am telling myself about the game script. As a result, I think he has to cut it loose in the 2nd half in certain spots, which could really help with his upside. Sam LaPorta continuing to play during the playoff despite being injured keeps enough weapons on the field for him to do just that, and I love him for tournaments in this spot.
Lamar Jackson ($7,600)
I loved Lamar last week in tournaments overall and ended up rolling him out naked. I plan to take that same approach this week at home to clinch the AFC championship. What he’s doing with his overall game right now has been fantastic and is helping to get him the upside we always know he possesses. He’s running, and it’s really blowing the top off of his ceiling. He will also have Mark Andrews back this week, which will give him more support in the passing game. The Kansas City Chiefs defense has been really good this season overall, but I think Lamar will be able to carry us to the finish line. Fire him up with confidence.
Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7,600)
Amon-Ra St. Brown is getting the repeat button this week. While I love Jared Goff as one of my top options, I don’t think the Lions get it done without Amon-Ra taking the Lion’s share of the targets. He’s been leading this team all season, and in a tough NFC championship game, I’m expecting them to lay it all on the line. This means getting St. Brown the ball out in space and allowing him to make things happen. The San Francisco defense has been relatively good all season, but Amon-Ra is a bona fide weapon in this offense, and I don’t see them slowing him down.
