OwnersBox NFL DFS Format
What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox! This site is very creative for the NFL, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. Straightforward football builds. No kickers, no defenses, just the position players that get it done for us week in and week out. Did I mention there was a Superflex?! Yes, we have the ability to play two quarterbacks in the format over at OwnersBox. It consists of the following positions: QB, RB x2, WR x2, TE, Flex x2, and the Superflex, which could be a QB/RB/WR/TE. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.
Top NFL DFS Picks for the Divisional Round
The Main Slate for Ownersbox this week is happening on Sunday, so this is where we will plant our flag. We have 2 games available to us, and I will be primarily concentrating on 1 of them for most of our production. Let’s dig in.
Baker Mayfield ($6,100)
This is my top game of the weekend. Both of these teams should have more success through the air than on the ground, and I’m anticipating that we see them air it out in our lone dome game. If you haven’t been paying attention, you probably don’t realize that the Buccaneers have been able to put together a fair number of explosive plays this season. If they want to get out of Detroit with a win, they will need to utilize this skill of their team. While Baker is not a mobile quarterback in theory, he is shifty enough to get out of some trouble and make the Lions defense pay if they are not disciplined. I like Baker for tournaments here with Goff on the other side.
Mike Evans ($6,900)
If I’m rolling with Baker Mayfield this week, I’m taking his number 1 option. I think it’s redemption time for Mr. Evans, as he had some key drops last week. If he can convert 1 to 2 of those big chances, we are looking at a possible slate breaker here. Additionally, I think the Bucs may be trailing for parts of this game, which should increase his opportunities for production. We’ve seen Evans go nuclear on several occasions this season, and he has to leave it all on the field in this one. Sign me up.
Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7,600)
We saw the top receiving option in this offense get rolling in the second half of the Rams matchup last week. St. Brown can pop off at any moment, and this week, he should be a top priority. The Buccaneers have been stingy on the ground, and I anticipate that the Lions will be airing it out. If Jared Goff can pick up enough of the blitzes and pressure from this Todd Bowles defense, he should be able to connect with Amon-Ra early and often. The thing that I love about St. Brown is that he won’t primarily operate outside and will move around to get action in the passing game. If things line up, this game along with St. Brown should give us the tournament-winning upside that we need.
The Divisional Round Closing Thoughts
Let’s continue to utilize our trends of attacking offenses in the most comfortable environments, as winter continues its surge across our country. If we get the back-and-forth affair that we are looking for, a tournament winner could be on the horizon.
