OwnersBox NFL DFS Format
What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox! This site is very creative for NFL, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. Straightforward football builds. No kickers, no defenses, just the position players that get it done for us week in and week out. Did I mention there was a Superflex?! Yes, we have the ability to play two quarterbacks in the format over at OwnersBox. It consists of the following positions: QB, RB x2, WR x2, TE, Flex x2, and the Superflex, which could be a QB/RB/WR/TE. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.
Top NFL DFS Picks for Week 3
This week, I think we have several spots where we have average to below average offenses that will be playing from behind. This should yield really nice fantasy performances from unlikely candidates. Let’s dive in.
Russell Wilson ($6,300)
Russ is one of my favorite targets this week for many reasons. Despite this team being 0-2, we have seen the offense be able to move the ball and score points. Russ has thrown the ball 30+ times in both games this season, and I’m expecting him to have to push it to at least 35 attempts for them to keep up in this game. He has enough weapons to spread the ball around, and I’m expecting Denver to be playing from behind most of the game, with one of the most explosive offenses in football on the other side.
Justin Fields ($6,700)
It feels like the whole world may be against Justin Fields in terms of DFS right now. His fantasy performances have been brutal as we’ve kicked off this season. There have been tons of snippets of him in the media this week in terms of his play and how coaching may be impacting this. I’m not saying that the Bears will win this game, but what I do think is this spot couldn’t be any better. This is once again another player that I expect to be behind in the game and will have to push the ball down the field to stay in it. I have been much lower on Fields as a rusher this season early on, but the upside may return this week, as the coaches may look to simplify the game plan for him. If the rushing attempts come, the fantasy points will follow. Sign me up for a big game from Fields this week.
Jordan Addison ($5,700)
The Vikings have sneakily been airing the ball out a ton with Kirk Cousins this season. With the Chargers coming to town, this is another spot where they should have to continue to air it out. Make no mistake about it, Justin Jefferson is the alpha dog in the receiver room, but Addison is getting enough work at a discount to bring it all home for us. He won’t garner as much ownership this week and absolutely has a shot at another solid game. He’s seen 6 and 5 targets, respectively, in both games this season, which has translated into a total of 7 catches for 133 yards and 2 TDs. He has big-play ability, and I’m hoping we see this in full force against the Chargers defense, who has really struggled so far this season.
Week 3 Closing Thoughts
This week should be big for us, as we are taking some alternate routes to big fantasy performances. Hopefully, these few plays, combined with others that you like, carry us to the finish line in GPP-winning fashion. Thanks for checking this out, and let’s win, folks!
