What is up, Grinders! We are here to talk about OwnersBox! This site is very creative for NFL, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. Straightforward football builds. No kickers, no defenses, just the position players that get it done for us week in and week out. Did I mention there was a Superflex?! Yes, we have the ability to play two quarterbacks in the format over at OwnersBox. It consists of the following positions: QB, RB x2, WR x2, TE, Flex x2, and the Superflex, which could be a QB/RB/WR/TE. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.
Top NFL DFS Picks for Week 5
We have seen some wacky outcomes throughout the first five weeks of the season. Once again this week, we have several teams in very favorable matchups. I’m hoping that the stars align and we can come out on top by attacking these bad defenses yet again!
Garrett Wilson ($6,300)
If Wilson was ever going to have a breakout game, it has to be this one, amirite? This Denver defense has been all-time bad, and the Jets seemingly gained some momentum in their previous matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. I understand that they were playing at home, but their defense should travel, and if the offense can put together another quality performance, the Wilson-to-Wilson connection should be in full effect. Did I mention the Broncos rank 22nd in passing DVOA? Yes, they are bad. Let’s go Jets.
Tyreek Hill ($7,700)
Tyreek had a down week against the Buffalo Bills last week. I think we were all expecting some version of fireworks in that game, and instead, we got an explosion from the Bills and a campfire from the Dolphins. The ship will be back on course this week against the Giants. This defense, like the Broncos, is also very bad, and Tyreek should have the volume to put up another monster performance. The Giants rank 29th in overall DVOA and 26th in passing DVOA. This offense should hum right along this week, and I’m expecting their most dangerous weapon to pile up the fantasy points.
Adam Thielen ($5,200)
Adam Thielen is our first repeat customer as he is now showing a consistent target share with a price that has not increased. This is a game where they are in a dome and should be playing from behind. While I am not impressed with Bryce Young outings as a Panther thus far, Thielen continues to produce. He’s the number 1 receiver in this offense, and I’m expecting another dose of 8-10 targets in this one. Just on the catches alone, he has a nice floor and getting into the endzone will put him at tournament-winning levels.
Week 5 Closing Thoughts
There are tons of bad defenses to attack this week, and as long as the players show up ready to play, we should see the results that we are looking for. Let’s crush it and take it down this week!
