On Sunday night, the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos will meet at Mile High for a matchup that has significant playoff implications. Entering play, Denver is 7-7, in need of a victory to keep pace in the AFC playoff picture. Ahead of kickoff, Russell Wilson and company are favored by 7 points on the spread.

Russell Wilson UNDER 211.5 Passing Yards (-115), BetMGM
Since Week 5, Russell Wilson has the 3rd-lowest average depth of target (aDOT) of any qualified signal caller. As a result, the absence of safety Jabrill Peppers tonight for the Patriots is likely to favor the running game more than the passing game for the Broncos. New England has held four of the last five opposing quarterbacks they have faced to 212 passing yards or fewer, with the lone exception during that stretch being Patrick Mahomes. Expect head coach Sean Payton to be extremely conservative on Sunday in the passing game playing as a big home favorite. The under makes sense in this spot.
Javonte Williams OVER 14.5 Rush Attempts (-122), FanDuel
In four games since their bye week, the Patriots lead the NFL in defensive Rush EPA/play and defensive rush success rate, making them a tough matchup for opposing running backs. However, New England will be without safety Jabrill Peppers this evening, who ranks 2nd out of 87 players at his position as a run defender this year, per PFF. Peppers being ruled out combined with the fact that the Broncos are at home and playing as big favorites should translate to a heavy emphasis on the ground attack for Sean Payton’s offense tonight. Javonte Williams has been given at least 10 rush attempts in nine consecutive games, with at least 15 rush attempts in five of those contests. This is the smart way to invest in Williams this evening.
Jerry Jeudy OVER 37.5 Receiving Yards (-120), BetMGM
The Patriots rank 2nd in defensive DVOA against opposing team’s top wideout in 2023, but they rank only 23rd in defensive DVOA against secondary options. Jerry Jeudy ranks 2nd on the Broncos in receptions, targets, and receiving yards this season, making him a prime candidate in this matchup. Jeudy has been inconsistent in recent weeks, with as many as 74 receiving yards and as few as 11 receiving yards across the last month, but it is likely that we see the more productive version of him on Christmas Eve.
