Friday, December 29th
Thanks to the holiday season we have ourselves a loaded Friday night in the National Hockey League with 11 games on tap. The Tampa Bay Lightning, Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils are you biggest favorites, and we have five teams (Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks and the Calgary Flames) playing on consecutive nights.

Cory Schneider, New Jersey Devils – The New Jersey Devils are a massive favorite on home ice tonight as they face a Buffalo Sabres team that has struggled offensively all year long. The Sabres are dead last in goals per game (2.16) this season in the National Hockey League and they have been even worse in December, averaging just 2.08 goals per contest. So clearly, this is not an offense to fear. Cory Schneider on the other hand, well, he has been brilliant of late (1.98 GAA, .933 SV%), and I expect another strong performance tonight. Schneider should cruise to an easy victory and there is definitely shutout potential here as well.
