Friday, February 9th
We have a rare eventful Friday night in the National Hockey League with eight games on tap. The Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets and Anaheim Ducks are tonight’s biggest favorites, and we have five teams (New York Islanders, Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, and the Vancouver Canucks) playing on consecutive nights.

Scott Darling, Carolina Hurricanes – The Carolina Hurricanes are the biggest favorite on the board tonight as they host a Vancouver Canucks squad playing on the tail end of a back-to-back. The Hurricanes are a strong possession team which will limit the Canucks scoring opportunities tonight at PNC Arena, and when Vancouver does get their scoring chances, they are unlikely to do much damage, as evident by their overall ranking in goals per game (26th overall in the National Hockey League). Scott Darling is certainly not an elite goalie, but he is inexpensive to own, and he is a lock for the all-important win.
