As we enter the weekend, the National Hockey League presents us with a solid five-game slate on this Friday evening. The Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers are your biggest favorites, and we have four teams (Columbus Blue Jackets, Calgary Flames, Washington Capitals and the Carolina Hurricanes) playing on consecutive nights.

Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets – Despite playing in back-to-back games the Columbus Blue Jackets are the biggest favorite on the board tonight, which puts goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky at the top of our cash game wish list. The Vancouver Canucks are not only having a difficult time winning games of late (losing eight of their last nine), they are also struggling offensively, ranking 28th overall in the National Hockey League in goals per game, and I can’t see them breaking through more than once tonight at Nationwide Arena. Look for Bobrovsky to cruise to an easy victory tonight, and don’t be surprised if he shuts out this offensively challenged Canucks squad.
