As we kick off yet another weekend, the National Hockey League presents us with a solid six-game slate. The Anaheim Ducks, Washington Capitals and the Dallas Stars are tonight’s biggest favorites, and we have five teams (Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders and the Detroit Red Wings) playing on consecutive nights.

John Gibson, Anaheim Ducks – Just like it was on Wednesday night (when Gibson shut out the Vancouver Canucks on 32 saves), it is once again the John Gibson show. The Anaheim Ducks are a massive favorite tonight on home ice as they host a Detroit Red Wings team that has now lost eight consecutive contests, while ranking 30th overall in the National Hockey League in goals per game this month. The win is a slam dunk for Gibson this evening and I would not be surprised to see him shut out this punch-less Red Wings offense tonight at the Honda Center.
