Wednesday, December 20th
As we hit the mid-week point, we have three games of National Hockey League action on deck. The Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets and the Calgary Flames are tonight’s favorites, and we have two teams (Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings) playing on consecutive nights.

Brian Elliott, Philadelphia Flyers – The Philadelphia Flyers are the biggest favorite on the board tonight as they face a Detroit Red Wings team that not only has trouble scoring, but is also playing on the tail end of a back-to-back. The Red Wings may have scored six goals last night in New York, but this is certainly not an offense to fear. On the season, Detroit ranks 21st overall in the National Hockey League in shots per game, and 25th in goals per game. Brian Elliott has been excellent in the month of December (2.00 GAA, .930 SV%), and I think we see another strong performance from him tonight at the Wells Fargo Center.
