PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for The RSM Classic
Who is your favorite golfer for cash games?
Notorious: Ludvig Aberg (FD) / Ben Griffin (DK)
stlcardinals84: Davis Thompson
JBails26: Andrew Novak
hondizzle: Ben Griffin
How are you approaching Ludvig Aberg in his first event back after knee surgery?
Notorious: I’m likely only going to build a lineup or two on each site. These fall events have worn me down, so I’ll get back to MME’ing when the calendar flips over. I plan to have more of a balanced build on DraftKings. There are some great options who are much cheaper than Ludvig Aberg. He’s obviously a strong play, but he hasn’t teed it up professionally in 11 weeks. On FanDuel, there’s not nearly as much savings if you fade Aberg. I’ll get my exposure to him over there.
stlcardinals84: I do feel like Aberg might be treating this as more of a tune-up to see how he is feeling physically, and that worries me. However, he’s also clearly the most talented overall golfer in this field. In single-entry tournaments or cash games, I will not play him. In a multi-entry setting, I do want some exposure, maybe even slightly above our overall projected ownership mark. I do not have a strong take on him, so I am not going to go with an “all-in” or “full fade” approach.

JBails26: Ludvig Aberg has as much upside as anyone on any given week. I imagine if he’s playing, he’s feeling good about the health of his knee. I am perfectly comfortable using Aberg, but as of Tuesday afternoon, I think I’ll be even with or underweight the field.
hondizzle: Aberg is a talented golfer. There is no denying that, if healthy, he is the clear-cut best player in the field. I am going to get burned if he is healthy and does play like the best player this week. I think the ~40% pOWN% number is way too high for a golfer who has not played in a few months.
