PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 2
The big story in the first round was how bad the favorites struggled. Max Homa (+8), Scottie Scheffler (+2), Jordan Spieth (+1), Tom Hoge (+1), and Si Woo Kim (+1) were all over par on Thursday and are all in danger of missing the cut. Colonial Country Club showed some serious teeth in the first tournament round since the renovation.
I will be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, as there appears to be a significant edge for the afternoon wave. The heaviest sustained winds and gusts are both in the morning. Now, the weather can change at a moment’s notice, so it’s not a terrible idea to set an early alarm and double-check before lineup lock.
