PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 3
Congrats to those of you who faded a chalky Joel Dahmen and a chalky Jason Day. I managed to escape the latter but thought Dahmen was good chalk. Unfortunately, his putter had other ideas. The 6/6 percentage heading into the weekend is around 15% in most contests. Hopefully, many of you fared better than me in that regard. I have some bets in the mix and will be scouring the showdown lobby, so I will still have plenty of sweat this weekend. Tony Finau currently holds a 2-stroke lead over the one and only Alejandro Tosti. Scottie Scheffler had a 6-foot putt to get in the clubhouse at -7, but he managed to three-putt from there and now sits at -5.
The forecast for Saturday doesn’t seem to give an edge to one wave or the other. The sustained winds are a little lower in the morning, but the gusts are a little higher. Most professional golfers will say that they prefer higher sustained winds than random gusts. Ultimately, I’m not letting tee times impact my player pool for Round 3 showdown.
