PGA DFS: Round 3 Showdown Picks & Projections - Wells Fargo Championship
PGA DFS Showdown Picks and Projections – Round 3
Other than watching the scores on my phone, I didn’t catch much of the Round 2 action at the Wells Fargo Championship. I’m a little bummed that I didn’t bet Xander Schauffele this week. My model told me to bet him, but I’ve had too many Sunday letdowns from him over the last couple of years. He currently holds a 4-stroke lead over Rory McIlroy and Jason Day. If you didn’t catch Day’s outfit on Friday, it was a good one. Love it or hate it, Malbon is certainly getting a lot of free advertising with the outfits they are putting together.
As for Round 3, golfers will be going out in groups of two and everyone will start on the first hole. There was only a two-hour gap between the first and last tee times on Friday, but there is a six-hour gap on Saturday. This brings a potential weather advantage into play. However, the forecast currently calls for little to no wind all day. I don’t mind targeting some golfers going out early, but that has more to do with the lower ownership than the weather.
