NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Fred VanVleet – More Than 19.5 Points
Without Sengun on the court, this is FVV’s team. Not only does he project for more than 23 points tonight in the RotoGrinders projections, but he has a median projection of 37 minutes with an upside of more than 40+. It’s a fast-paced matchup against one of the worst defenses in the league, and Fred should absolutely feast on a team that’s missing two of its best perimeter defenders, Jones and Coulibaly. He’s got a 62.08% win rate in the NBA Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks, one of the highest on the slate.
- PrizePicks PLAY: More Than 19.5 PTS
Jabari Smith – 31.5 Fantasy Points
Admittedly, this one scares me a little bit. However, I can’t pass up Smith’s 64.95% win rate in the NBA Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks, the largest number on the entire slate. He’s struggled since Sengun went down, but a fast-paced game likely to go small with him at center is the perfect get-right spot. He projects for just shy of 35 fantasy points tonight, and if he ever is going to excel without Sengun, it’s likely to be tonight.
- PrizePicks PLAY: More Than 31.5 FPTS
Jonas Valanciunas – Less Than 22 Fantasy Points
I don’t think I’ve ever made a firm decision like this for a player, but Jonas Valanciunas is officially on my do not play in NBA DFS list, and only select “Less Than” for him in the DFS Pick’em streets. If he’s not going to get it done without Larry Nance against a team with a slow 7-footer playing 40 minutes, he never will. Tonight, the projections match up perfectly with that mindset. The RotoGrinders projections have JV for 19.52 fantasy points and a 64.76% win rate on PrizePicks. He’s been known throughout his career as a massive point-per-minute producer, but the minutes no longer come, and his ability isn’t as strong as it was.
- PrizePicks PLAY: Less Than 22 FPTS
