NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Dennis Schroder More Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds
Seems like we’ve had quite a bit of value on Dennis Schroder on PrizePicks all season, no? Our tool likes his chances of success again tonight despite a difficult on-paper matchup against the 76ers. The struggling Raps are 8.5-point underdogs in this game, so there’s certainly the potential for the game to get out of hand in Philly’s favor.
Let’s hope that doesn’t happen. Schroder has been consistently solid in his first season in Toronto, averaging 14.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. Based on those numbers alone, this 14.5 combined points + rebounds square looks awfully low, yeah?
Not to put too much stock in previous meetings, but he is averaging 14 points and 3.5 rebounds (plus 10 assists, FYI) across his previous two showdowns with the Sixers on the year. Schroder is averaging north of 33 minutes per game so far this month, which is encouraging considering Toronto has been involved in a few lopsided games in that span.
- Play: Schroder – More Than 14.5 Points + Rebounds
Jordan Poole Less Than 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Tonight, Jordan Poole will make his return to the Chase Center after the offseason trade that sent him from the Warriors to the Wizards. Poole was a key cog in the Warriors’ title run a couple of years ago, but the Monstars seemingly sapped him of his basketball abilities around halfway through last season.
Poole is generating healthy usage with his new side (27.7%), but efficiency hasn’t been a strong suit. He’s shooting just 41% from the field and 31% from 3 en route to around 17 real points per game. He’s also not offering much by way of peripherals, as evidenced by his measly 3.6 assist and 2.5 rebound averages.
Tonight, Poole’s Wizards will play for the second time in as many nights after a close win in Portland on Thursday. Washington is a sizable 12-point underdog, which means this is another game with clear blowout potential. Poole may be feeling vengeful, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to stick it to his old team in this one.
- Play: Poole – Less Than 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Michael Porter Less Than 7.5 Rebounds
The Nuggets will face off against the Nets tonight in Brooklyn. The Nets happen to be one of the better rebounding teams in the league, as they’re ranked a solid 8th in rebound rate.
Interestingly enough, Michael Porter has stepped it up in the rebounding department so far this season. His average of 7.8 boards per game is a career-best, narrowing the 7.3 he averaged back in the 2020-21 campaign.
MPJ is certainly big enough (6’10”) to do damage on the boards, but this isn’t the best matchup for such things. This isn’t the most comfortable square, but less than 7.5 caroms in this matchup looks like a solid route.
- Play: Porter Jr. – Less Than 7.5 Rebounds
