NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
P.J. Washington – More Than 4.5 Rebounds
Indiana and Washington are the two matchups so far this NBA season that have been absolute gold mines for fantasy production. Tonight, the Hornets draw the lucky card against the Pacers, who play at an incredibly fast pace without much defense. Not only is Washington expected to pull down nearly 6 rebounds in the RotoGrinders projections, but he has a 63.43% chance of success in the Fantasy Pick’em Tool as well. While Washington has only eclipsed this plateau in half his games this season, he couldn’t ask for a better possible matchup against Indiana. I sense a double-double coming tonight.
- Play: Washington – More Than 4.5 Rebounds
Jrue Holiday – Less Than 6.5 Assists
This is an awfully high number considering Jrue has only reached 7 assists once this season. While the matchup isn’t all that tough against Brooklyn, there’s considerable blowout risk, and Jrue would be one of the first veterans pulled out of the game by the Celtics. The RotoGrinders projections have Holiday for 5.22 assists tonight, which is still more assists than he’s had in all but one game this season. The Celtics have too many elite players who require the ball in their hands, and it won’t leave as many opportunities for Holiday to rack up as many assists as in years past. With the projections in our favor combined with the large spread, game environment, and Holiday’s totals throughout the season so far, this is my favorite NBA PrizePicks Fantasy Pick’em prediction of the night.
- Play: Holiday – Less Than 6.5 Assists
Terry Rozier – More Than 34.5 Fantasy Points
So far this season, Hornets guard LaMelo Ball has been on somewhat of a minutes restriction, being capped in the low-30s minutes. The primary beneficiary when Ball is off the court is Rozier, whom I love tonight in all DFS formats against the Pacers. As previously mentioned with P.J. Washington, the Pacers are one of the two best matchups a team can draw in all of basketball. Rozier projects for 39.47 fantasy points in this spot and should have an incredibly easy time eclipsing his 34.5 total as long as this game stays close. Both of these teams are inconsistent, and the game could get ugly. However, that often means a lot of fantasy points, and I think Terry Rozier should be one of the main recipients.
- Play: Rozier – More Than 34.5 Fantasy Points
Lauri Markkanen – Less Than 3.5 3-Pointers
Markkanen gets a tough, pace-down matchup tonight against the Timberwolves. He’ll have to match up with Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaden McDaniels all evening, likely having an incredibly tough defensive matchup alongside one of the best perimeter defenders in basketball locking him down. This play has a 61% success rate in the Fantasy Pick’em Tool. Markkanen has been stupidly hot from 3-point range this season, shooting at an unsustainable clip, and he’s due for some serious regression. This seems like as good of a spot as any for it to come, with the Timberwolves being perfectly equipped to guard someone with his size and skill set.
- Play: Markkanen – Less Than 3.5 3-Pointers
