The Rams vs. Eagles is a captivating game in many ways. The Eagles were unimpressive offensively, but they were stout defensively in their Wild Card Round win. Similarly, the Rams’ defense dominated in their Wild Card Round win, while their offense did enough but didn’t set the world on fire.
A 3-pick lineup I like for this game is less than 111.5 rushing yards for Saquon Barkley, more than 39.5 receiving yards for Cooper Kupp, and more than 0.5 rushing or receiving touchdowns for Jalen Hurts.
Barkley’s season average well exceeded his projection, but the Rams’ strength on defense is their defensive line and edge players. They’ve impressed me all season, and I expect their top priority is to make Barkley’s life difficult. I think Hurts can benefit from this in the red zone, as he scored 14 times with his legs this season.
Kupp is tricky to project, but I expect the Eagles to do all they can to limit Puka Nacua’s dominance. I see Kupp benefiting from a bad six-game stretch that causes the Eagles’ defense to focus so much on Nacua that Kupp gets forgotten about.
