Rams vs. 49ers – NFL Player Props
- Cooper Kupp Over/Under 5.5 Receptions
- Brock Purdy Over/Under 29.5 Pass Attempts
- Deebo Samuel Over/Under 15.5 Rushing Yards
Cooper Kupp OVER 5.5 Receptions (-146, FanDuel)
Cooper Kupp has fallen to a WR2 role in the Los Angeles passing attack since Puka Nacua returned to a full workload in Week 10, which is giving bettors an opportunity to buy low. Despite Nacua taking over as the team’s receiver with the highest usage, Kupp has still seen 8+ targets in 3 of his last 4 games, including a pair of contests with 10+ targets. Tonight, Kupp gets to face a San Francisco defense that has excelled at limiting WR1s in 2024 but ranks only 25th in DVOA against WR2s. Kupp could be in for a strong performance this evening.
Brock Purdy OVER 29.5 Pass Attempts (-130, Bally)
Brock Purdy only had 25 pass attempts this past Sunday against the Bears, but it’s worth noting that the 49ers won that game by 25 points and held a 24-0 lead at the half. Thus, the game script led to more emphasis on the ground, with the final split for San Francisco’s offense featuring 34 runs against 26 pass attempts. Tonight, San Francisco could end up skewing pass heavier with RB Isaac Guerendo at less than 100 percent health and facing a Rams’ run defense that is 4th in success rate since the team’s bye week. It wouldn’t be overly surprising to see Purdy end up with closer to 40 pass attempts than 30 pass attempts assuming a competitive game.
Deebo Samuel OVER 15.5 Rushing Yards (-120, BetMGM)
Deebo Samuel took to social media earlier this week to voice his frustration over a perceived lack of touches in 2024, insisting that he’s “not struggling at all, just not getting the ball.” Yesterday, head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with the media, saying that the since-deleted comments are “water under the bridge,” per Jared Dubin. There don’t seem to be any hard feelings between Samuel and the team’s coaching staff, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a few more play calls designed to get the ball in Samuel’s hands as a result. One surefire way to get the ball into Samuel’s hands is by getting him the ball behind the line of scrimmage as a runner, which could be even more important with San Francisco’s running back room thin on talent, and the team playing on a short week. This is a play that could have sneaky value.
