2024 RBC Heritage Weather Forecast and Projections

We’re teeing off for the RBC Heritage this week in gorgeous Hilton Head, SC…and the weather looks to mostly cooperate with our golfing needs.

As usual in my golf weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts. With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact. And the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try to highlight the time frame with the lightest winds and the time frame with the strongest winds to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another. You can then use this to your advantage when making your picks on DFS sites and sportsbooks.

RBC Heritage Weather Forecast

Thursday, April 18th

Starting things out on a high note, we should see calm early-morning winds, light winds by the late morning (5-10 MPH), and afternoon winds peaking at around 10 MPH with stronger gusts. Great stuff.

Friday, April 19th

Really similar to Thursday. We gradually see winds after a nearly calm start, and by the afternoon, we should peak at around 10 MPH sustained with stronger gusts. Low chance of a stray afternoon shower or storm.

Saturday, April 20th

Maybe the “flattest” weather day, meaning we won’t see that same building of winds. Instead, it’s fairly steady, near 10 MPH all day long. Low chance of an afternoon shower or storm.

Sunday, April 21st

Back to the typical pattern here. Light morning winds, manageable afternoon winds at 10 MPH sustained with stronger gusts. Low chance of a late-day shower or storm.

RBC Heritage Weather Thoughts

With the weather being so similar for the first two days (as well as not being particularly impactful), I just don’t see any real weather edge to be had this week.
